This is perfect for me

Thank you! This is perfect for me. I have been practicing djembe between 8 to 12 hours a week for the last 3 years. Making sure my time with my drum really counts is deeply important to me. All advices in this intro are crystal clear, and this, I truly appreciate. Onward with the ‘new’ with pride and patience.

Detailled and helpful

... I got such a good insight into how to phrase accordingly and the assignments are very helpful to get to that level. Learning how to sing Djembe rhythms properly also helps my rhythm understanding. Big up

Humorous and personal

The concepts here are what every intermediate Djembe/Dundun player should understand and apply. The quality of the video and music samples is excellent, made with a great musical and aesthetic taste. Louis's instruction style is humorous and personal, I enjoyed it very much!

About

My approach

After decades of teaching, I observed recurring questions among djembe students. DJEMBESOLO was created to address these questions.

Memorizing rhythms and patterns is part of the learning process, but understanding them is essential to be able to truly feel the music.

Through complementary standalone courses, observation-based lessons, and the DJEMBESOLO PATTERNS archive, this project has already helped many students around the world reach their goals on the djembe.
